We welcome motivated post-docs and grad students to apply to join our lab

Possible projects include probing:

  • Thalamo-cortical interactions during cognitive control
  • Neural dynamics in different states of consciousness

Projects may involve mapping brain networks using diffusion MRI and then simultaneously recording from interconnected network sites in behaving animals. There is also the opportunity to run complementary experiments using intracranial electrocorticogram recordings from human subjects.

Successful applicants have the opportunity to acquire a valuable skill set including multi-electrode recordings, microstimulation, functional MRI, diffusion MRI and computational analyses.

Available facilities include lab space within the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center as well as two state-of-the-art neuroimaging centers at the Waisman Center and the Lane Neuroimaging Laboratory in the Department of Psychiatry.
